This privacy policy applies to the FableAI app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by VectoLab AI (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS". VectoLab AI is the data controller for personal data processed through the Application and can be reached at support@fableai.app.

The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.
For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to Email, oauth id, name. The information that the Service Provider request will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.
FableAI is an AI-narrated game. To operate it, the text you write in a story (your actions, dialogue, and questions), adventure content you create, and related prompts are transmitted to third-party AI providers that generate the narration, review submitted adventures, and produce images, music, and voice narration. These providers process the content on the Service Provider's behalf to deliver the feature you requested and handle it under their own privacy policies (linked below). Story content sent for processing is not accompanied by your name or email address.
The Service Provider shares data with third parties only as needed to operate the Application: AI providers process story content as described above, payment processors handle purchases, and platform services provide sign-in, hosting, and crash reporting. Aggregated or anonymized usage data may also be used to improve the Application. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

The Service Provider's website (fableai.app, including the blog) uses a self-hosted, privacy-focused analytics tool (Umami) to understand aggregate usage — such as which pages are visited, the referring site, browser and device type, and country-level location. This tool does not use cookies or any other client-side identifiers, does not collect personally identifiable information, and does not track visitors across other websites. The resulting data is aggregated and stored on infrastructure operated by the Service Provider; it is not shared with any third-party analytics or advertising company. The website does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
In certain regions, the Application may require age verification to comply with local regulations. To perform age verification, the Application uses a third-party service provided by Didit (https://didit.me). During the age verification process, Didit may collect and process personal data such as facial imagery, age estimation data, IP address, device information, and identity document data. This data is used solely for the purpose of verifying your age and is retained by Didit for a period of 1 month, after which it is deleted. The Service Provider does not store identity documents or facial imagery; only the verification result (approved or declined) is retained in your account. For more information on how Didit handles your data, please refer to Didit's Privacy Policy.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the Service Provider processes personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the Application and generating the stories you request), legitimate interests (securing the service, preventing fraud and abuse, and understanding aggregate usage), legal obligation (age verification where required by local law), and consent (marketing communications, which you can withdraw at any time).
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data held about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy in a portable format, restrict or object to its processing, and withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these rights, contact support@fableai.app; requests are answered within the timelines required by applicable law. EEA and UK users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection supervisory authority.
The Service Provider relies on service providers that may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the service provider's participation in recognized data-transfer frameworks.
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected about them, to request its deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. The categories of personal information collected are described in this policy: identifiers (email, name, OAuth ID), usage data, and content you create. The Service Provider does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. To submit a request under the California Consumer Privacy Act, contact support@fableai.app.
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you'd like them to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at support@fableai.app and they will respond in a reasonable time.
Published community adventures with fewer than 20,000 gems used may be deleted upon request by contacting support@fableai.app. Adventures with 20,000 or more gems used cannot be deleted but may be anonymized upon request — the Service Provider will unlink your author identity from the adventure so that it is no longer associated with your account. To request deletion or anonymization of a published adventure, please contact support@fableai.app.
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider (support@fableai.app) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
